RD-GlassBeads are round, unbreakable glass microspheres designed to enhance the reflective values of road markings. They improve visibility and grip on these surfaces.
RD-GlassBeads are also used in floor paints to increase anti-slip properties when floors are likely to become wet.

USE :

FEATURES :
RD-GlassBeads are round, unbreakable glass microspheres designed to enhance the reflective values of road markings. They improve visibility and grip on these surfaces.
RD-GlassBeads are also used in floor paints to increase anti-slip properties when floors are likely to become wet.
SUBSTRATES :
To be applied directly onto a wet paint film from the RD Coatings floor range.

Anti-slip system for floors.
Application of RD-GlassBeads with a floor paint system from RD Coatings

| Light sprinkling: 0.30 kg/m² before brushings. | Medium anti-slip effect. |
| Full coverage: 0.85 kg/m² before brushing. | Strong anti-slip effect. |
| Mixed into the paint: 250 g per liter or 175 g per kg. | Medium to high anti-slip properties. |
Reflective system for road paints.
- Beaded/Reflective Effect :
Sprinkle glass beads at a rate of 300 g/m² onto the wet paint. - Sandwich System :
Apply 300 g/m² of RD-AquaRoad and gradually sprinkle glass beads at a rate of 300 g/m².
Then apply another layer of 300 g/m² of RD-AquaRoad.
- Multi-layer System :
Apply 300 g/m² of RD-AquaRoad and gradually sprinkle glass beads at a rate of 300 g/m².
Then apply another layer of 300 g/m² of RD-AquaRoad and sprinkle the beads again with a coverage of 300 g/m².
Application instructions
Refer to the technical data sheet of the chosen coating for details regarding surface preparation, application conditions, dilution, etc.
Spraying :
The beads are manually projected by hand or with a low-pressure sprayer.
Application with a sprayer: Use a nozzle with an opening of at least 18 mm; air pressure 1 to 3 bars.
Mixing into the paint (anti-slip system) :
Add RD-GlassBeads directly into the paint before application.
Mix mechanically for a few minutes.
