    Description of the product

    USE: 

    Waterborne onecomponent acrylic paint for roofs. The film has a decorative aluminium look.

    FEATURES:

    The film is waterproof and very elastic - Very good adherence.

    SUBSTRATES:

    Suits to asbestos-cement roofs, shingles, roofing …

    Systems

    Porous, not treated surfaces :

    Primer: 1 impregnation coat of RD-UNIFIX.
    Top coat: 1 or 2 coats of RD-ELASTOROOF ALU or 1 coat of RD-ELASTODECK and, after that, 1 coat of RD-ELASTOROOF ALU.

    Iron and steel:

    Primer: 1 coat of RD-ELASTOMETAL.
    Topcoat: 1 coat of RD-ELASTOROOF ALU.

    Bituminous substrates older than 1 year can be directly recovered with 1 or 2 coats of RD-ELASTOROOF ALU or 1 coat of RD-ELASTODECK and, after that, 1 coat of RD-ELASTOROOF ALU.

    On flat roofs it is recommended to use a mesh RD-ROOF FLEECE.

    Application instructions

    PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE:

    The substrate has to be dry, degreased, brushed and the moss has to be removed.

    WARNING: On any kind of substrate the room underneath should be equipped with a vapour barrier and sufficient roof ventilations in order to avoid the formation of condensation under the roof. The slope to the drain-pipes should be large enough to fully collect the rain.

    APPLICATION CONDITIONS:

    Outdoor: never apply if raining
    Ambient temperature: > 5° C
    R.H.: max. 80 %
    Never apply under heavy sun

    APPLICATION MEANS:

    Brush or roller

    DILUTION:

    Product is ready-for-use.

    DRYING TIME (20°C - 68°F):

    Touch dry: +/- 3 hours
    Recoatable: +/- 24 hours

    CLEANING OF TOOLS:

    Water

    CONSUMPTION:

    From 0.5 L/m² (paint system) to 2 L/m² (waterproof system)

    SPECIFICITIES:

    Mix well before use.
