The solution
RD-Elastometal & RD-Monoguard
The separate or combined use of these two coatings addresses a multitude of cases and forms the foundation of our powerful anti-corrosion systems.
They provide long-lasting protection for steel and ensure, according to ISO 12944 standards, a minimum maintenance-free lifespan of at least 15 years in an industrial or marine environment of type C5 and over 25 years in C4 environments!
RD-Elastometal is a unique product with unmatched performance and longevity. Water-based and single-component, with almost no VOCs, it combines very high sealing and anti-corrosion properties. Its permanent elasticity of over 200% allows it to flex and bend on any type of surface to which it is applied, adhering durably.
RD-Monoguard combines all the properties of next-generation coatings: water-based and single-component, with very low VOC content, it dries very quickly while offering a beautiful semi-gloss enamel-like finish. It possesses exceptional anti-corrosion properties !
These coatings are also used in other industries, notably for the renovation of metal bridges, such as the Øresund Bridge, one of the longest in Europe, connecting Denmark to Sweden.
Reduced Surface Preparation Costs
Thanks to our technology, sandblasting steel or stripping it to SA 2.5 becomes optional, allowing for significant cost savings, as well as a considerable reduction in waste, environmental impact, and the risks associated with these surface preparation methods.
High-pressure cleaning is generally sufficient to ensure exceptional performance.
Increased Safety
The use of water-based paints also eliminates the risks of fire or explosion on-site. The products are non-flammable and do not require thinners or cleaning solvents. Water is all you need to clean the tools.
Less VOCs also mean less air pollution and less harm to workers.
/!\ Significant Savings Depending on Surface Condition
It is possible to reduce the amount of paint needed for renovation by retaining the already painted surfaces if the coating shows sufficient adhesion and the quality of its film allows it. Our water-based coatings are not aggressive and can be applied on almost all types of paints.
In such cases, it is possible to save a layer of paint by applying RD-Monoguard directly on these painted surfaces. This results in saving many liters of paint and hours of work!
